Sapphire S200: The slimline invisible speaker for tight spaces

The newest addition to our Sapphire range is the S200, a slimline invisible speaker built for projects where space is at a premium. It takes the core performance of the Sapphire and distils it into a more compact, 200mm-wide form, meaning you can still take advantage of that high performance in spaces with narrow joists.
A smaller panel, by design
The S200 panel measures just 200mm x 450mm, and is only 31mm deep. It weighs 1.1kg, making it easily a single person installation, even when fitted in ceilings.
The S200 name alludes to the dimension that makes this speaker such an interesting prospect for installers who are looking to deliver an invisible audio experience where there is very little room to work with.
Built for narrow joists and awkward voids
With certain construction types, such as period buildings or buildings that have used modern narrow construction methods, there may not be voids big enough for the larger form factors such as our Sapphire 250 or Sapphire 375. Older buildings often have narrow joist spacing, and plenty of newer ones do too. This is where the S200 becomes a great solution, opening up high-quality invisible audio in narrow wall sections, slim ceiling soffits, columns and architectural features that would otherwise be unsuitable.
The same Sapphire engineering
The S200 features the same upgrades found in the rest of the Sapphire range, including the very latest Symphony Cell panels for superb clarity and full-range performance, acoustically tuned frames to refine sound performance, and industry-leading components built from the ground up. It handles 50W RMS (100W peak) for a maximum 96dB SPL, with 180° hemispheric dispersion and a frequency range of 60Hz to 20kHz. Like the rest of the range, it disappears completely beneath a 2-3mm layer of plaster, fabric or other decorative finishes.
Specifying the Sapphire S200
As you would expect, the reduction in panel size does mean the acoustic performance is not quite what you would get from our Sapphire 375 or 250. This is an unavoidable matter of physics, but it is not to say the sonic performance of the new S200 leaves the listener wanting. The slimline panel delivers full spectrum, balanced and precise audio.

Yes. The Sapphire S200 is 200mm wide and 31mm deep, so it fits within joist and stud spacings that are too tight for larger invisible panels. It’s designed specifically for properties where narrow stud widths are integral to the structure of a building, and cannot be disturbed.
Both use the same Symphony Cell panel and Sapphire exciter technology. The S200 uses a narrower 200mm panel, which reduces low-frequency extension slightly compared to the full-width Sapphire 250, whilst retaining a warm and balanced sound.
The Sapphire S200 finishes beneath either a 2mm plaster skim, or other decorative materials while maintaining consistent acoustic performance.
Yes. At 1.1kg it’s a single-person installation in walls or ceilings, and it can also be fitted into cabinetry.
Historic buildings frequently combine narrow joists with structural restrictions, which rules out larger invisible speakers. The S200’s 200mm wide panel fits where they can’t, bringing invisible audio to spaces where the building’s heritage has to be respected. Once finished, there is no visible hardware or interference with the original look, supporting the case for modern audio in historically sensitive interiors.
