Amina invisible speakers immersive experience

Amina invisible speakers are the hidden force behind SABDA – Barcelona’s groundbreaking immersive experience centre where technology disappears and pure perception takes over.

In the heart of Barcelona, a city known for pushing the boundaries of art and architecture, SABDA has created a new, fully immersive kind of art form. Essential to the making of such a powerful immersive experience centre, SABDA is a space where technology disappears and perception takes centre stage. At the core of the experience are Amina invisible speakers delivering stunning audio with zero visual distractions – no grills, no boxes, no visual interruption. Just pure, enveloping sound.

The result is a truly multi-sensory journey. Visitors don’t just hear audio; they feel it move through space. By embedding Amina’s plaster-over speakers directly into architectural surfaces, SABDA preserves the visual integrity of its immersive installations while delivering precise, high-fidelity soundscapes. The technology becomes invisible making the experience unforgettable. From the busy Barcelona street it is a short journey through the SABDA premises to reach the experience room, known as ‘The Portal’, a name which makes perfect sense as soon as you enter.

Amina Invisible Speakers: The Sound Behind the Portal

The portal is a large rectangular room, approx. 82 square metres in size. Ceiling mounted projectors provide 360 degree visuals, creating a truly immersive experience. SABDA utilise this to great effect, with a number of different videos/graphics available to change the ambiance at the push of a button.

Pivotal to the fully immersive experience is the audio, and delivering this are a number of Amina Mobius speakers. No fewer than 7 Mobius speakers are integrated in the walls with 2 ALF80 Amina subwoofers beautifully integrated in the ceiling to add low end to the space.

The designers wanted to ensure the audio system could be used for the multiple types of function intended for the room. The room is regularly used for – Music listening sessions with albums from artists such as Lana Del Ray, Billie Eilish, Tame Impala and many more. – Enhanced Pilates, calming visuals and gentle background audio further enhance the escape. – Yoga sessions with teachers using head mics to amplify their voices, which in an immersive space such as this would be very hard to achieve if conventional speakers were used. As DML technology gives far more gain before feedback is created, session leaders can easily move around the space using microphones without experiencing feedback.

Ultimately, what makes SABDA so extraordinary is the seamless fusion of art, architecture, and technology. Every element works in harmony to create an atmosphere that feels effortless yet deeply immersive. At the heart of that ambiance are the Amina in-wall speakers, completely unseen, yet absolutely essential. By allowing sound to flow organically from the very walls of the space, they remove visual distraction and boost the emotional impact of every moment. The technology doesn’t compete with the experience; it amplifies it. And in doing so, Amina’s invisible speakers become the pivotal ingredient that transforms SABDA from impressive to truly unforgettable.
